Temecula Getaway - The New Inn

As San Diegans, we are incredibly lucky to have Temecula Wine Country just an hour up the freeway. Temecula is a perfect get away filled with Food, Wine, and fun experiences for the whole family! There’s many hot spots and cute hotels along the way, but we may have discovered one of the most beautiful B&B’s in the city - The New Inn

The Room

New, quant, and modern. The rooms at New Inn are beautiful, with lovely views to accompany.

When you first walk into a room at The New Inn, you are welcomed with bright whites and massive floor to ceiling windows. We were Modern Romance villa, but all are stunning, with slight changes to each villa. We also were welcomed with delicious homemade chocolates, a bottle of local red wine, and rose peddles sprinkled in the bathtub. A beautiful touch, making us feel incredibly welcomed!

The patio was great, with a wonderful sunset view. We spent most of our time on the patio, as the weather was perfect. With a large fire pit and two large lounge chairs, it was very peaceful and relaxing. The team had also set up a private dinner, for two, on the patio!

The Property

Just outside of the main town of Temecula, a quick drive through the beautiful grape covered hills, is the adorable New Inn. A brand new white building, trimmed with black - it looked like something out of a modern romance movie. We were welcomed in by the owner herself and presented with two glasses of champagne to start our check in.

Directly adjacent to the lobby is a lovely courtyard containing a fountain, patio seating, and string lights hanging up above. Perfect spot to sip a glass of wine and enjoy the vineyards.

Further up the property we noticed a larger patio, where they offer private dining/parties, also equipped with string lights. A perfect spot for a get together!

As we walk down the hallway to our room, we notice each room is labeled with a theme. Ours was Modern Romance.

The Set Up

Since we were enjoying the romance package, the table was set up with an all white tablecloth and two place setting. “How Romantic”, I said, as Chris and I first stepped outside! The plates were stacked on top of each other at each seat, with an adorable wooden sign labeled Love (so simple, but such a lovely touch). They also had premade a charcuterie board for us, filled with all the necessary snacks for wine country - cheese, meats, fruits, and marcona almonds (my favorite!).

Dinner began with a tomato & burrata salad, with a light drizzle of olive oil on top. It was the perfect start to dinner. The greens were very fresh and there was a healthy portion of burrata on each of our plates!

The Entree

After the salads the team brought in a skewer plate to share, filled with shrimp and steak, over a bed of rice. This also came with a chimichurri and a green goddess dressing.

The Filet Mignon skewers were definitely my favorite! I love grilled meats and the homemade chimichurri sauce was a perfect accompaniment!

The team was kind enough to deliver it all straight to our private dining table, where we sat and enjoyed our meal while overlooking the vineyards.

Overall, It was the perfect amount of food for the two of us , and paired amazing wit the Local Akash Blend 34 Red Wine!

The Ambiance

After Dinner Chris and I enjoyed the complementary bottle of wine - a delicious red blend, local to California. I grabbed my kindle and he grabbed “The History of Temecula Wine Country” and we sat by the fire until the sun set behind the mountains. It was truly a perfect end to a beautiful night!

Ashley’s Bathroom Corner

What a beautiful bathroom! Larger than my entire apartment in college, this bathroom rates #1 on my list so far. It had a large walk in shower, with a private out door shower as well. I’ve alway wanted to experience a private outdoor shower, honestly, so I was pretty excited.

The bathtub was beautiful, something that I hope to have in our home one day. It was a standalone tub, big enough for my entire body to sprawl out. Chris so kindly prepared a bath filled with bath salts (complimentary w/ your stay) and Rose Pedals (a romantic touch, by the New Inn team).... Add a book and the glass of wine, I was in heaven!
