The Planning

Meal Prep Sunday San Diego delivers a very custom meal plan depending on your needs. After going on their website you put in some metrics and your goals and they provide a custom package for you. What I loved about this was that is was not just a one size fits all plan, the menu and options are customizable depending on whether you want every meal prepared (breakfast, lunch, dinner) or just what I got which was just five lunches a week.

Delivery is crucial when it comes to food.

Meal Prep Sunday San Diego delivers their meal prep meals right to your door, in a great insulated bag with freezer packs. They say on the packaging that they can be left out for up to 3 hours. Although I believe them I put them into the fridge as soon as I could!

It was great to see such a great packaging included in this meal prep service. I definitely will be using this bag to carry my groceries at the farmers market! I also especially loved how the packages were served in a microwave safe container ready to be microwaved and eaten.

What is in them?

One of my favorite things about this service is how they are focused on providing healthy meals. It’s one thing to provide meals that taste good, but getting them to be healthy AND taste good is definitely a challenge.

All of the meals are labeled with all of the nutritional facts so they are great for people who are watching their weight, and trying to eat macros or certain percentages of fats, carbs, and protein.

One of my favorite meals was this Chicken Thigh, Rice Noodle and Mixed Vegetables dish! I loved how the chicken thigh (my favorite chicken cut) was so juicy and traveled so well.

Meal Prep Sunday San Diego has a wide range of flavors from:

Grilled Steak, with Spanish Rice, Mixed Vegetables, and Fresh Pico de Gallo

Herb Rub Pan Seared Chicken Breast served with Sweet & Spicy Glaze Roasted Brussel Sprouts & Sweet Potato hash

Three Beans Shredded Pork Chili

These dishes are not typical boring meal prep meals. After trying several different services, Meal Prep Sunday Services are definitely the most gourmet of all.

Cooking Time!

Now I know we don’t all love to cook, I get it. I love to cook but only when in the mood. Most of the time I find myself ordering door dash out of connivence. These meals allow me to cook a healthy, and delicious meal in less than 5 minutes! That is definitely a time saver, and allows me to stick to my healthy eating goals.

To cook these dishes you have a few options , Microwave, or Stovetop. I choose to microwave these dishes out of connivence, however the packaging does make it clear that the stovetop is the best. Although I tend to agree, I ate these meals in the middle of a Zoom call, so time was of the essence so microwave it is! After removing the sealed film on top of the meal and removing any sauce containers that would be applied after I pop them in the microwave for a few minutes and bam! you got a meal ready to eat!

What I loved about these dishes!

The meals are nicely packaged, very healthy, yet not boring and I find myself looking forward to preparing them! I think that Meal Prep Sunday San Diego is a great option for those who work from home, looking to cut back on unhealthy meals and are too busy to cook.
