bb.q Chicken specializes in Korean fried chicken dishes as well classic Korean dishes like Ddeok-Bokki, and Kimchi Fried Rice. With their famous Golden Fried Chicken that takes multiple days to make as well as the various crispy delicious flavors this spot is a certified #sdfoodies spot!

The Chicken

WOW! This is definitely bb.q Chicken’s specialty. This is somehow the crispiest chicken and the least greasiest I have ever had. With so many fun flavors like Honey Garlic, Cheesling, and Spicy Garlic its definitely hard to pick one to order. We recommend ordering a few different ones to sample and find your perfect flavor!

The Flavors:

Golden Original, Secret Spicy, Hot Spicy, Honey Garlic, Soy Garlic, Gang Jeong, Cheesling, Galbi, Spicy Galbi, Wings of Fire, Gangnam Style, BB

Golden Original Chicken Sandwich

This is definitely a must order! With their world famous multi day crunchy chicken with coleslaw, spices, and a freshly baked bun its a textbook example of a fried chicken sandwich.

We definitely recommend ordering this with a side of their freshly fried potato fries! Feeling especially up for it? Check out the Sweet Potato Fries! 🍟

Rosé Ddeok - Bokki

A classic Korean dish, Rosé Ddeok Bokki is a must order dish! A hearty bowl of tender and chewy rice cakes that have been simmered with fish cakes and a sweet / spicy red chili sauce. This dish was very unique, I had never had these rice cakes prepared like this and was incredibly impressed! Its a solid comfort food dish perfect for the upcoming San Diego fall.

Soju!

A classic beverage that is basically required when eating Korean Fried Chicken is Soju. This clear distilled spirit is akin to a low proof vodka for those who haven’t had it. With fun flavors like Plum, Strawberry and Grapefruit it pairs perfectly with the crispy fried chicken!
