With a few locations located around the the west coast, San Diego is lucky to be home to both The Prestige in Downtown San Diego & Mystique Dining located in La Jolla. We had the opportunity to visit The Prestige and were blown away by all they had to offer.
Cocktails at the Bar
Whether you’re lucky enough to snag a table for dinner, or you just want to grab a drink, you always have an opportunity to hang out at their bar and enjoy some fun magic tricks. There’s also no cover charge if you decide to just enjoy the bar! We decided to come a little early and check out their bar before dinner and were very excited to see some card tricks going on behind the bar. We had the pleasure of meeting Paul Robbia, who happened to be VERY talented with a deck of cards.

Dinner & The Show
After a few cocktails and card tricks, the team at The Prestige started hinting at the hidden door that takes us to the Dining Room. But note, only someone pure of heart can unlock the hidden entry way… so be sure not to nominate anyone sketchy to help open the door!
Once you successfully found the hidden entrance to the dining room, you are welcomed with bright colors and white cloth tables — the perfect ambiance for a night out on the town!

For Dinner I had the Mac and Cheese — which was DELICIOUS. While Chris had the Prime Rib, which was cooked to perfection and served over some potatoes and vegetables.
Dessert was also pretty fun — if you’re at all familiar with Le Petit Chef it was a very similar experience! It’s essentially a video mapping projection experience, it’s a very cute performance! The actual dessert itself, was also delicious!
After dessert — it was time for the show. We had the honor of seeing that night’s featured performer , Dave Cox - an Emmy award winning comedian and magician!

The show was a perfect mix of “Ooh!”, “Ahh!” and “ Hey, what the? huh?” — he was a great performer and did a magnificent job at including the audience in each of his tricks. I personally really enjoyed his Evil Hypnotist Monkey (you have to see it, to believe it)!
