Our Experience: Brunch
Drinks
Who doesn’t love a creative cocktail! Well at Huntress they excel with an overtop display of booze.
The Hangover RX is a concoction of Malibu Coconut Rum, fresh honeydew, fresh pineapple, fresh cucumber, fresh lime, coconut water, vanilla. This drinks serves 2 people and up to 4 with their optional add on!
This drink was incredibly refreshing, with mild notes of tropical citrus and honeydew. It definitely cooled me down and felt like I was at a day spa with the classic notes from the coconut water and cucumber.
Appetizers
She Delived Eggs!
One of my favorite small bites and arguably the best one of the day. With super smooth yolk mousse paired with a little spice and vinegar from pickled Serrano and a little salt and crunch from crispy pancetta these were delicious and a great way to start the meal off.
Main Event
Who doesn’t love a good Eggs Benedict! A real San Diego brunch must have a least one, and wow o wow does Huntress deliver. A perfectly toasted english muffin paired with crispy ham and a little poached egg that was coated gently with hollandaise sauce. Egg’s Benedict is something that is easy to do, bur hard to master.
My personal favorite was this Bagel and Lox. With rockenwagner everything bagel, herb cream cheese, heirloom tomato, pickled onion, house smoked salmon this was a delicious bite! I especially enjoyed how the picked onion really gave some much needed acidity to the dish. The salmon was tender but with delicious savory mild seafood notes. The everything spiced herb cream cheese made this even more delicious!
