Father’s Day at Hotel Del Coronado

BRUNCH Give Dad the gift of time together with a spectacular beachfront brunch, Father’s Day Morning, at Sheerwater, located on site at Hotel Del Coronado. This lavish buffet includes a wide variety of brunch classics along with an omelet station, chilled seafood station and carving station. Top it off with a glass of champagne or mimosa!

AFTERNOON BBQ Celebrate Dad on June 19th from 1PM-4PM with a few of his favorite things. Join us on Windsor Lawn, in front of the Del, for an afternoon of California-inspired BBQ, beer and bourbon cocktails while Christian Taylor trio performs authentic soul and blues songs. Coronado Axe Throwing

Maybe for the more adventurous guys in your life, Coronado Axe Throwing is an awesome opportunity to practice your aim and enjoy a drink at the same time (it’s a BYOB situation, in which they allow alcohol as well!). All we recommend is to stay safe and have fun! Maybe bring some snacks too?

Morning Tee Time at Rancho Bernardo Inn

Rancho Bernardo Inn is a perfect spot to take the guy in your life for an early morning tee time! Hungry afterwards? Check out their various onsite restaraunts for a bite to eat — we recommend Veranda! It’s a great restaraunt to bring the whole family after a few holes of golf…. Some old friends work there too and we’re big fans!

Dinner at Rare Society

If the guy in your life loves Steak, Rare Society is a great option — located both in central San Diego and Solana Beach! The menu here is delicious, but we definitely recommend the Executive board. Choose from all different types of cuts, a perfect share option (unless Dad doesn’t want to share!)

Barks and Brews Festival

A convenient timing for the Barks & Brews festival this year! Happening on June 18th (the day before fathers day), enjoy some beer and fluffy animals at Water Front Park! With over 20 local breweries and yummy bites, this could be a fun event for the guys who love you, just as much as they love their dogs!

Located in North Park, and La CostaWise Ox has all the best meat from Beef, Pork, Chicken, Sausage… you name it! If you’re looking for dinner at home, they can set you up with some of the best cutsr. Be sure to call ahead for your cuts, or even stop by prior to fathers day to check out all they have to offer!

Get outside!

Mission Trails Park - Home to Cowles Mountain and Fortuna Mountain

Is the guy in your life pretty active? Does he love the great outdoors? A perfect fathers day present could be as easy as taking him on a hike or walk! There’s so many beautiful trails through out San Diego County. The quality time is even more important, than the views, but here’s some of our favorites! Check out our Instagram post here!

2. La Jolla Coast Walk - < 1 mile / easy
3. Mission Beach Boardwalk - Walk as far as you want!
4. Tecolote Canyon - 6ish miles / moderate / starting from trailhead


Make dad SHOUT at Shout House!

We take this straight from their website, sounds like a crazy time over at Shout House! Join them on June 19th at 4pm (or later if you find a baby sitter!). Be sure to make reservations in advance.

“We will makes your daddy SHOUT! this Father’s Day. There will be two shows. We welcome ALL AGES to our earlier 4pm Showtime. Bring the whole family, and enjoy a family friendly dueling piano show. The later 7pm showtime will be strictly 21+ with our normal MA-rated show.”


Grab a Beer at a Local Brewery
